Overview:
Jim joined Commercial One Realtors in 1989 as a specialist after a retailing career culminating in the presidency of a ten-store division of May Department Stores with primary responsibility for sales and merchandising growth, sales promotion, and branch development. His earlier roles at May Department Stores , and previously at Federated Department Stores, had ranged from Buyer to Vice President in charge of branch stores, to Executive Vice President and General Merchandise Manager. He is a graduate of The Ohio State University with a Bachelor's Degree from the School of Business. He attended its Graduate School before resuming his retail career and, subsequently, completing the American Management Association's Course for Presidents. He earned the Certified Commercial Investment Membership (CCIM) in 1995 for the completion of 250 graduate hours of commercial real estate specialization. In 1997-1998, Governor Richard Celeste appointed him Director of Ohio's Celebration of the 200th Anniversary of the U.S. Constitution and the Northwest Ordinance.The latter provided a growth preamble for the Midwestern states northwest of the Ohio River.His real estate career has been marked with notable success in retail sales and leasing, business sales and acquisitions, and commercial and land sales.
